GRAVITY FORGE · MERGE PUZZLE GUIDE
Build chains before gravity changes the board
Every drop can create a merge, but the best turns prepare the next reaction too. Use these habits to keep space open and forge larger cores.

Keep one lane available
A full edge removes your ability to correct a bad sequence. Avoid filling every launcher evenly. Preserve one flexible lane so the next low-level core always has a safe destination.
Pair small cores near larger matches
Two equal cores merge into the next level. Place early pairs beside another matching level whenever possible. One drop can then trigger several merges and multiply the chain bonus.
Plan for the rotation after a chain
Chain reactions can rotate gravity from down to a side direction. Before completing a chain, scan the new downhill edge. A board that looks safe now may compress into a blocked wall after the pull changes.
Use the center drop as a recovery move
Space drops into the middle launcher. It is useful when you need a fast, neutral move, but deliberate lane selection is stronger when a precise merge is available.
